As the alumni and friends association, we are glad to support initiatives and events on campus. In April the time had come again: the Institute of Information Systems held a Mario Kart tournament on 21 April 2026 as a community-building activity. More than 60 students competed against one another in randomly drawn pairs.
Over pizza and free drinks there was sweat, tension and cheering. Away from the racetracks, university news was exchanged and new friendships were made.
At the end of the evening the two lucky winners collected their prizes: an engraved gold trophy and a first-semester textbook with a personal dedication from the lecturer.
After the successful premiere, the event is set to become a series: see you again in the winter semester 2026/27! The AFL is already looking forward to it.
