In record-breaking temperatures, the AFL held its annual general meeting on 27 June 2026 in the beautiful Blue Salon of INNOMANIA cowork .
Our Chair Dr Mats Kahl used a vivid presentation to outline the association’s activities and events. Treasurer Philip Dunkhase and board assistant Norman Noack gave an overview of membership numbers and finances, and Deputy Chair Regina Graß and board assistant Dr Adelheid Schellmann reported on the events they had attended.
As scheduled, the board was elected. Our previous ordinary members Julian Obertopp and Julia Zeigert did not stand again and are now leaving the board. A heartfelt thank you to both of them for their engagement in the AFL!
The remaining board members Dr Mats Kahl (Chair), Regina Graß (Deputy Chair), Philip Dunkhase (Treasurer) and Valéri Pollentzke (Secretary) were confirmed in office. Newly elected as ordinary members were Mareile Truxius and Dr Sünje Helldorff. Congratulations on your election – we look forward to working with you on the board team!
After the official part of the annual general meeting there was a delicious finger-food buffet from Café Le Petit, and the ice-cream parlour on the ground floor was glad of our visit too. The day rounded off with a tour of the historic town hall.
